The sensor is designed for non-flush mounting. The body is in standard size M30 × 1.5. A universal capacitive level sensor providing interesting options for the user.

Capacitive Sensors With Relay Output - Series 95 – now with PBT body

(13.01.2010)

RECHNER’s series 95 capacitive sensors with relay output are incredibly versatile level probes. The universal supply voltage range from 20…250 V AC/DC, the simple mounting and installation and the potential-free relay output are all key benefits for the user. Further advantages are provided by the integrated intelligent micro controller technology. This allows various options, like adjustable time relay (from 1 sec. up to 10 min.) and changeable on- or off-delay. RECHNER’s High Performance Technology is also incorporated into these sensors guaranteeing the best in quality and reliability. Moreover the sensors have a low power consumption of only 2 mA.
The sensors are available with body sizes of M 30 × 1.5, M 32 × 1.5 and in a slightly tapered smooth bodied sensor 32 mm in diameter.

The sensors are now available in PBT housings as well as the existing POM units. The PBT bodies also have similar excellent mechanical characteristics. The material used is flame-retardant and corresponds to the UL/CSA directives. The price benefit for PBT over the POM body is a welcome additional benefit for the user.

A PG36 pressure type connection is available as an accessory. The sensors can be connected to PLC’s or the user can connect directly for control purposes to a max. 1 A.

Inductive sensors for 150°C and 180°C ambient temperature

(16.07.2009)

The new inductive sensors from RECHNER can be used for detection of metal objects in ambient temperatures of 150°C and 180°C. The electronics are self contained within the housing, like all conventional inductive sensors. This means with these sensors a separate evaluation unit is no longer required.

The sensors are available in the body sizes M 12 × 1, M 18 × 1 and M 30 × 1,5. Power supply 10…35 V DC. The sensors are available for both for flush mounting and for non-flush mounting in metal.

Capacitive sensors for detection of leaks in ATEX zones 1 and 2 or zone 20

(02.06.2009)

Leaks can be detected early and reliably using the capacitive sensors LEAK-500-... and KAS-40-LEAK-PTFE-N from RECHNER. The LEAK sensor can be mounted directly on to the base of a basin or trip tray with or without the attached holder. The measuring field of the sensor is directed to the bottom; however the base will not be detected whether it is made of plastic, glass or even metal. In the case of a leakage the sensor will detect the dripping or running liquid immediately it approaches the active area and gives a switching signal for alarm and action.

Housing and cable of the LEAK sensors are made of PTFE. This makes them ideal for all industries, including the semiconductor and chemical industry. The available variants are for 10…35 V DC supply voltage with NPN- or PNP-Transistor output or NAMUR sensors with ATEX certificate for use in areas with danger of explosion of zones 1/2 or zone 20.
The dimensions are small with 37.5 mm in diameter and 18.8 mm in height. The gap between the sensor and the bottom is just 2.8 mm. The measuring area where the liquid is detected is within this gap at the feet of the sensor.

Capacitive LEAK sensors are a great help to prevent problems caused by liquid leaks of a critical nature.

Capacitive Sensors – EasyTeach – With Clear Text Display!

(20.10.2008)

The 26 series from RECHNER was originally designed to cope with the problems of very adhesive products. It turns out that these sensors have excellent characteristics for general use in level control. Typically they overcome the problems caused by products sticking to the sensor and the need for continual re-adjustment.

The semiround sensor tip is a striking feature of this series. The electronics are based on RECHNER’s High Performance Technology and guarantees high quality and reliability. The sensors are available with various process connections, such as Triclamp, G1“ and M22.

Now this series has been extended with the new Easy Teach range. This new range has housing lengths that can reach deeper into the containers. These sensors have a G1˝“ process connection. Thanks to the EasyTeach function the adjustment is made with just one push button. The clear text display assist with the adjustment. These capacitive level sensors are available up to 2000 mm in length.

Like the rest of the 26 family they are suitable for use in both wet and dry areas. They are ideal for use in industries such as the chemical industry or food processing

RECHNER has new laser marking system

(29.03.2007)

Seven years ago we bought our first laser marking machine and started to mark our sensors directly on the housing. Article numbers, type codes, CE-marking, and individual identification code are engraved directly on the housing with the laser. There is no problem marking the different kind of plastics like PA or PPO and metals such as brass, stainless steel or even titanium. The old and ugly labels, that quite often came unstuck after a period of time, or simply became unreadable, now belong to the past. This has been a milestone in our quality control system, especially regarding the trace ability of products. The positive feedback of our customers strengthened our determination for higher quality. Due to the greatly increased demands from production during the last year, we almost reached the limit of our ability to keep pace with the marking process. To avoid a potential bottleneck in the near future we have now purchased a second even more sophisticated laser marking system. It has been implemented into our production process in the last month and since then both lasers work nicely in parallel. The new features allow us total 360° markings as well as implementing customized logos. A further step to more quality and service for all our customers who wish to have their own company name and logo or their own part number on our sensors.

Capacitive Sensors KXS

(30.01.2006)

The capacitive proximity sensors that make up the KAS-40…, KAS-70…, KAS-80…, KAS-90, KAS-1000 and KAS-2000 series . are already established as powerful leaders in today.s market. They are well accepted as sensors that are reliable, and there are a large number of versions to suit many applications in the processing industry and throughout mechanical engineering. Nowadays they are indispensable. Important parameters for the user are the achievable switching distance and the size of the sensor. Larger switching distances require larger sensors. It is here, that the new KXS/KXA-Systems show their strength. Although one achieves essentially larger switching distances with these capacitive systems, their size is actually smaller. The sensors of the KXS/KXA-Series are based on a different measuring principle, the three-electrode-principle.

Advantages:

- Extreme large sensing distance, up to 10-times the norm

- miniature sensors from M5

- Measurement of smallest changes in capacity

- suitable for high-temperature areas up to +250°C (ceramics +800°C)

- up to three adjustable switching points in one sensor (Duplex and Triplex operation)

The Top-Team In The Ex-Area

(30.01.2006)

RECHNER-Sensors have a wide reaching program of Ex- protected sensors. The product family comprise capacitive and inductive proximity sensors in cylindrical size from 6.5 to 40 mm in diameter. NAMUR sensors and proximity sensors with NPN or PNP transistor output rank among the standard. With the Ex- protected isolation amplifiers the product range is complete. The ATEX-certified units are available for areas with danger of gas explosion (Zone 0,1 and 2) and for areas with danger of dust explosion (Zone 20, 21 and 22). Being an ATEX certified firm, RECHNER can also offer sensors with a manufacturers declaration for both of these explosion danger areas.

Capacitive Sensor - an all round performance ensures everything runs well!

(30.01.2006)

RECHNER’s capacitive filling level detection sensor is especially designed for the detection of very adhesive products. The non-stick characteristic of the PTFE housing is enhanced with the round tip of the sensor. These sensors are often used in the chemical industry as well as in the food industry. Sensing only takes place at the tip of the sensor, which also ensures that there is no problem from unwanted switching caused by product build-up on the wall of the container. Permitted ambient temperature max. +100°C.

High Performance – the standard for RECHNER’s capacitive proximity sensors

(30.01.2006)

Rechner has proved once again, that supreme achievement is possible, when the customer‘s demands are merged with their innovation and longstanding experience. High Performance, just two words that accurately describe the new generation of standard sensors: Capacitive sensors with 3 times higher sensing distance than the norm, high temperature stability up to 100°C and excellent EMC-characteristics. The sensing distance is medium optimised, so that with just one adjustment it is possible to detect a variety of products. The series comprise capacitive sensors in cylindrical size from M 8 × 1 mm to 64 mm in diameter, with both flush and non-flush mountable models. Also ranging among the standard are chemical resistant and food-grade sensors in PTFE or PTFE/stainless steel housings.

50 mm Sensing Distance !

(30.01.2006)

Record sensing distance with the new High Performance Proximity Sensors from RECHNER. The M32 threaded sensor with 5 cm active area allows a flush mounting sensing distance of more then 50 mm. This corresponds to 5 times the Sn of a standard M30 sensor. The PEEK covered active area offers excellent protection, since this material is considered to be oil resistant, resistant to nearly all chemicals, physiologically harmless and it has very good mechanical characteristics, like abrasion resistance. This 4-wire DC sensor is available with antivalent PNP switching output.
